Beck Tour Photo Diary

30 June 2007 - 06:06 PM

http://s189.photobuc...beckphotodiary/

As promised I have created a photobucket account that essentially re-creates the tour diary. It goes by date. First it starts out with March, and then goes backwards through April.

After the date is listed the location, and after that comes my personal description of the picture's content. When you click on them they are slightly smaller but you can use the magnifying glass thing to see them at full size.

I tried to divide it into sub-albums by the days but I failed with that. However, Apr 4-6 ended up in an effective sub-album that keeps them out of the main album. If you would rather I scrap the sub-album and just stick them at the beginning then say so. I would prefer that setup myself but I do not want to confuse anyone.

If you have any other suggestions (or help, since I only scratch the surface of photobucket use) please post them!

Favorite Album Closer

Diamond Bollocks doesn't count because I'm making the poll, and in my opinion it's a different idea. Beck hasn't presented a whole nice song in such a manner anywhere else (that I am aware of) and so there is nothing to compare it to.
I was hesitating about Debra as I always feel like it is a different color than the rest of the album but Pressure Zone makes no sense as an ending. Which is why I like the front end of Midnite Vultures better.
No bonus noise either because those are not songs.
I decided to throw in Clap Hands there as Guerolito is a sort of album, and it is an original song.
The Information, I think it's clear that the medley is the end, but I can't see Exoskeleton standing along as much of a song. So they are all together.
Oh yes one last thing, these last songs are how they are on the US versions as that is what I own.

Well now that you know all the official rules go on and talk about it. :)

ManiaTV.com review

It's kinda old, but I'm amused. The guy seems like he would fit in fine at these forums. He clearly states how great Beck is, betraying a bias of course but it's good bias round these parts. Anyway, they have an interesting montage of the guy sticking stickers on his jacket of graph paper over songs and the homemade videos. Some of the effects end up looking pretty cool, even though they seem just as crude as the ones originally used in the videos. They add an "I" in front of one song title and the song transitions are harsh on the well-trained ear, but still, I think it's worth watching.

Reviewing a review I suppose I am.

Apparently people think it's awful.

I didn't see "2012" in it at all- more likely something like "ZOR". It reminds me of 90s styles of zig-zag leggings.
