The only claim made is that Beck signed it. The seller doesn't claim Beck has any other connection to it.

Looks like it could be his signature, though he doesn't usually sign "Hansen," just "Beck." And the letters look rounder than usual. But I'm not a handwriting expert, so who knows, the signature could be legit.

I would not spend that much money on it unless they have some sort of authentication that it is Beck's sig. I bought a kewl little blue toy guitar signed by Beck but I also received a pic of Beck signing it.

That first one doesn't even look like Beck's signature, does it?  Look at the TP's blue one... isn't that what his sig looks like?  I dunno.  Maybe Hutch will buy the first one.

I don't think the first one looks exactly like his signature; the B is much rounder. The rest of the word looks similar to other sigs I've seen. But like I said, I have never seen him sign "Hansen." On the other hand, TP's looks different from other signatures I've seen, too. The letters are barely formed. Either he was in a hurry or his signature has been changing over time. (TP, when was it signed?)

Okay...this hideous guitar on eBay has a signature that looks like the one I've seen. I wonder what he thought of this guitar when he signed it?

Yeah they all look different yet they seem written by the same person. Beck in this case.

I will go look for the pic and letter I got with it to find some info when it was signed. I will scan the pic too.

Ok Candy I did not find an exact date when it was signed but I purchased it in the first half of November of 2005. They printed my Paper receipt on November 15th 2005. Its from a company that gets sigs from famous people so My guess is that this sig is from that time. Also the pic below looks like Beck from that era.

These are the Docs that came with the guitar. I have no clue why they felt the need to send 2 different ones.







Also here is another Beck sig I have from Odelay era.

The pic of him signing it looks like it is probably 2004.

I have a couple of things he signed. Actually...four, I think. But I would have to dig them out. I'm pretty sure the two I bought that were already signed are the "typical" style I'm familiar with, like the MV above (and like your BW pic). I am not sure what the two I got signed personally look like.

I am wondering if anyone knows of a sig where he has signed his last name or has a pic available?

I was looking that sig over again. There are a couple odd things about it.

1. He signed his last name.
2. The "H" in his last name is a normal capital "H" then the rest of the last name is hand written. Thats why I wanna see something he signed his last name on to compare that.
3. It looks like 2 different Sharpies were used. The Beck part seems to be written with a marker less dark than the Hansen part.
4. The width of the sharpie seems to be different on both words.
5. The Hansen part looks like it was written by someone else or at another time. Sig as a whole does not match.
