Not saying that I don't hope, I hope a bunch, it's just that as of now I am in no way convinced that this means anything else.

In 2003, I was living in LA and made the quick trip up the coast to see Beck at the Bowl. The opening act was a guitar and drum duo that made me wish I was seeing The White Stripes instead. (It was The Black Keys)
Now, in 2012, I'm living in New York City and I'm wondering whether this is worth making a cross-country flight for. Probably not. I'm old. Beck is old. Which means Candy must be ancient.

I missed out on the Gainsbourg concert last year (too busy)
I missed out on the Napa concert recently (too far)
But this time, I am not missing it for anything!!!
I will be there...general admission...on the floor for maximum dancing!
I hope he plays some MV....

Don't get me wrong, I love my little trips to CA, but I wouldn't mind something closer to home. Make that at home.

I hit my limit with L.A. It wasn't exactly chicken soup for my soul. So now I'm in a better place. Still working on asinine television but definitely happier with my surroundings.

I flew from central Alberta to Napa for the show, and it was totally worth it. I'm waiting on my buddy right now to see if he can get the weekend off to drive down to Bend for this one (and this time I wont have to miss class
