She responded back with "Has anyone told you that you look like Beck?"
Velma outfit AND Beck fan...?
Okay, I know this would have been a perfect place to write "Zoinks", but I'm not going to do that.

I just graduated college this month, which means that the student job I had for most of that time is also over, and a lot of people I know have moved away. I found out I got a temporary position for the summer with a different employer, so that is really great, but it also means moving to a new sublet and thus having both new coworkers and new neighbors. those are probably good things too, but they are a little daunting.

that sucks! I hope your moving works out in the end.
I am mildly annoyed that I am currently an unemployed college student back in the parents' house after graduating. I dislike it because it's a stereotype...it's actually very luxurious to live where people are not shouting throughout the night and I have a comfy bed. no one else seems that worried at this point, but I would really like to get a job very soon even if I live here for a while longer. I need to probably focus on what education I'm getting next, and where.
entirely unrelated: the guy on jeopardy tonight really messed up. he made it a true daily double with like $13,000, actually got an easily answered question, and then gave a nonsense answer because he had poor reading comprehension on the question!!! really sad for that man.

i hope you get a job soon! and i was unemployed after university and lived at home for about a year (hey, middle o' recession) and yeah, didn't love it. did, however find a job but it's pretty ...not fun to keep hearing that it gets better (but it does!).
i *almost* went back to school (applied/paid and everything) but got a job the same day i got admissions offers. huh. took the job (moneyyyyy!)
